Foam Roller Exercises
There are so many ways to exercise and keep your body fit, relaxed and healthy. You may want to just walk, jog, run or jump around and you will definitely be able to sweat everything out.
However, for some people, they want to use specific gym or exercise equipments to help them better in achieving the figure they like. There are so many kinds of exercise equipments that they can use but multipurpose equipment that has been in the trend today is called foam rollers.
Foam rollers, with its material obviously stated by its name, have so many uses when it comes to sports massages. Foam roller exercises are actually really great in helping your muscles and tendons to stretch.
It is also helpful in breaking down adhesions of soft tissues and some scarred tissues. With this equipment, you are going to massage any affected part by rolling yourself onto the roller foam using your body weight to add up a little pressure, thus doing a massage to some certain parts of the body.
Foam roller exercises are just great for so many muscle group of the body. These are used to treat, by massage, some muscle knotting in a specific part of the body. The foam rollers can work on just about any part of the body.
Some parts that it can do with properly are the glutes or the butt and the hamstring group or the muscles of the back of the thigh. To work on these muscles with the use of foam rollers, you can sit directly on it and roll back and forth down to your leg then to the knee and back.
Your quadriceps is the best group of muscles that a foam roller can work with. You can just lie on top of the roller then roll from your hip to your knee. The foam roller can also be used to work on your back, especially with the trapezius and the rhomboid muscles. You can just lie back on the roller with your legs bent. You can roll form your shoulder blades up to your head and vice versa.
You can also use the foam roller exercises to relax your shoulders by lying back with the roller placed vertically on your spine.
